BELLEVILLE - Evelyn B. Piller, age 98, of Belleville passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Four Winds Manor in Verona. She was born on March 4, 1914 on the family farm near Dayton, WI to her parents Roy and Julia (Pernot) Butts. Evelyn graduated from Belleville High School and then graduated from Green County Normal to become a school teacher. Later she attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Evelyn taught at country schools in the Belleville area and then taught in the Belleville School District until her retirement. Evelyn was united in marriage to Leo Piller in 1963. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville and the Alpa Mu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.

Evelyn is survived by her sister Betty (Max) Hillary of Monroe, WI and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo in 2010, brothers Archie, Lloyd, Frank, Burton, Richard, Ray and Dale, and a sister Helen Pernot.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Michael Moon officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Belleville.

Memorials are suggested to the Belleville Public Library.

The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is serving the family.
