Ellen E. LaRosh age 76 of Monticello, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Ellen was born April 20, 1938 in Pekin, Illinois, the daughter of James and Dorothy (Bernhausen) Wineburner. She graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1956 and married Frederick LaRosh on October 18, 1958 in Pekin, IL. Ellen worked as a teller at the Bank of Monticello for several years. She was later employed at various locations including Rural Mutual Insurance of Monticello, Kay Freitag Insurance, Tail's End of Monticello, and Gempeler's Supermaket. Ellen's family was one of the founding families of the Monroe Bible Church where she was an active member and former Deaconess. She was also a former member of the Washington Homemakers.

She is survived by her husband, Fred LaRosh of Monticello; three children, Larry (Jenny) LaRosh of Monroe, Nancy (Mark) Reneau of Oneida, TN, and Terry LaRosh of Reedsburg, WI; grandchildren, Jason (Laura) LaRosh, Derek LaRosh, Erika Nelson, and Kristin (Paul) Reneau James; great-grandchildren, Lilly Norton, Aleena, Sienna, and Wyatt LaRosh, and Noah, Levi, and Gracie James; a brother, Donald (Shirley) Wineburner of Arcadia, FL; sister-in-law, Barbara Wineburner of Morton, IL; nephew, Rick Wineburner; and nieces, Kayla Perry and Donna Jo Wineburner. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Wineburner; and a niece, Debbie Stallard.

A celebration of Ellen's life will be held at the Monroe Bible Church on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 12:00 p.m., with Pastors Dan Krahenbuhl and Ralph Bauer officiating. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery, Monticello. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
