Elizabeth Buttke, 93 of Davis, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at the University Hospital in Madison, WI. Born April 7, 1916 at Lone Rock, WI, she was the daughter of Edward and Alice Hartwig. She married Floyd Buttke in 1935. He preceded her in death. Elizabeth worked many years for Oaktron Industries and Swiss Colony in Monroe for many years. She enjoyed word puzzles and gardening.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Mulligan and Karen McGinley, both of Friendship, WI; three sons, Nathan (Joanne) Buttke of Lincoln, Nebraska, Charles (Eileen) Buttke of Juda and Floyd Jr. (Patty) Buttke of Atwater, California; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jeanette (Carroll) Lisney of Davis.
She is preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Adeline Mahle and Helen Broge; and three brothers, Edward, Charlie and Bernard.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 115 S. West St., Dakota, IL. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Frankenberger Cemetery, rural Rock Grove.
