BRODHEAD - Edith M. Zimmerman, age 85, of Brodhead, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Mercy Hospital, Janesville, WI. She was born on September 30, 1929 in Spring Grove Township, Green County, the daughter of Clayton and Iva (Nolty) Clark. Her first marriage was to Selmer Paulson on October 28, 1947. He passed away on April 2, 1978. She then married Sheldon Zimmerman on June 30, 1979. He passed away on November 10, 2006.

Edith had been a waitress in many of the area restaurants. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and WMF, rural Brodhead, where she also had been the Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. She enjoyed bowling, having belonged to many different leagues, quilting, gaming, birds, cooking, and having company. She especially enjoyed her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Donna (Ted) Hohneke, Barbara (Ted) Yaun, Steven (Judy) Paulson, all of Brodhead; stepchildren, Jenny (Tom) Mitchell, Jill (Bruce) Stiner, Shelley Zimmerman, all of Monroe, Doug Zimmerman; grandchildren, Jennifer Knutson, Heather (Josh) Dobson, Dain Yaun, Brittney (Kyle Johnson) Yaun, Gina and Cristopher Paulson; great-grandchildren, Courtney and Colter Knutson, Tatum and Zavon Dobson, Liam Yaun; several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers, Raymond, Royal "Pete," Stanley and Charlie Clark; and two sisters, Vera Noonan and Verna Eggemeier.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 9, 2015, at Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Brodhead. Burial will be in West Luther Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., Sunday, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI, and from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. A memorial fund will be established.
