ORANGEVILLE - E. Lucretia Mann, 45, of Orangeville, IL, went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2009 at her home following a long illness. Lucretia was born on April 30, 1964 in Amarillo, Texas. She was the daughter of John and Linda (Richards) Perritt. She graduated from Amarillo High School in the class of 1981. Lucretia and David S. Mann were united in marriage on August 17, 1985 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas. She attended Amarillo College for 2 years and graduated from West Texas State University with a degree in education in 1986. She has served as a substitute teacher in Texas, Wisconsin and also served at the American School of Kinshasa in Zaire, Africa.

For 6 years she farmed with her husband in Avoca, Wisconsin where they sold organic eggs under the name, Dave and Lucretia Organic Eggs. They sold their farm and entered the ministry Food for the Hungry International in Nicaragua for 2 years. Lucretia began to have health problems and they returned to United States where she underwent a double lung transplant surgery. In 2004 they settled in Orangeville, IL and David became the pastor for Grace Free Methodist Church in McConnell, IL. As a member of the Grace Free Church Lucretia was active in volunteer work at the Pregnancy Center in Freeport, and her past work with the pregnancy center in Luray, Virginia. Lucretia's main love was to serve God in mission work and her family.

Survivors include her husband, David; 3 children, Ahnriel, Carlton and Christopher, all of Orangeville. Lucretia's parents, John and Linda Perritt of Katy, Texas and 1 brother, John (Alix) Perritt of Dallas, Texas.

Memorial Service of Praise and Worship will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2009, at Grace Free Methodist Church in McConnell, IL.

Pastor Pat Coakley will officiate the service.

There will be no visitation.

Cremation Rites have been accorded and burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family request that any memorials would be directed to the Freeport Pregnancy Center in Lucretia's memory.
