MONROE - Two 20-year-old men face felony charges of burglarizing a home north of Brodhead last year, according to criminal complaints filed Thursday, May 4, in Green County Circuit Court.
Jerod E. Sandlin, Brodhead, and Orrin Hoyt Marsden, Monroe, each face a Class F felony charge of burglary of a dwelling, a Class I felony charge of theft of movable property worth $2,500 to $5,000; and a Class A misdemeanor charge of criminal damage to property.
According to court records, the men broke into a residence in the W300 block of County E in the Town of Decatur on July 11 or 12 when no one was home.
They allegedly took numerous beer steins and collector glasses, bottles of alcohol, a bass guitar, diving equipment, scuba tanks, camping equipment and camp stoves, china and crystal dishes and a turntable.
The criminal complaints also report the men cut out and removed all of the copper piping in the home's plumbing and furnace systems.
