LENA - Doris E. Lobdell, age 85, passed away on August 5, 2012 at the Lena Living Center.
She was born on January 20, 1927 in Freeport to Peter Harold and Beatrice (McNeal) Hughes.
She married Paul E. Lobdell on October 5, 1944 in Lena, IL. She worked with her husband at Lobdell Trucking as the bookkeeper. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Lena Extension Home Bureau and she enjoyed sewing and playing cards.
She is survived by 1 daughter Linda (Richard) Chamberlain of Huntley, IL and 1 son Duane Lobdell ( fiancée Jill Stockton) of Lena, IL. 8 grandchildren; Drs. Brent (Marydee) Chamberlain of Prior Lake, Mn, Dr. Stacey Chamberlain (Michael Swaine) of Oak Park, IL, Derek Chamberlain (Amy Richards) of Chicago, IL, Patricia (Fred) Cass of Mt. Carroll, IL, Jackie (Mike) Gassman of Lena and David Lobdell of Casa Grande, Az, Blake Stephan of Schaumburg, IL and Luke (Holly) Stephan of Atlanta, Ga. 12 great grandchildren, 1 Brother; Harry Hughes of Lena, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter Debra Malone, 1 daughter-in-law Sharon Lobdell, 1 sister Betty Stamm and 1 brother Jerry Hughes and sister-in-law Nancy Hughes.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 10, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lena.
Visitation will held on Friday, August 9, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena.
Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden in Freeport, IL.
Officiating will be Pastor Miranda Hinricks.
