Donald E. Flannery age 77 of Argyle WI, passed away on January 29, 2016 at UW Hospital & Clinics in Madison, WI. He was born on September 23, 1938 to Everett and Ella (Hendrickson) Flannery in Browntown, WI. He married his high school sweetheart, Pat Hassenfelt on June 28, 1958 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Argyle, WI.
Don is survived by his wife: Pat at home; two children: Debbie (Michael) Plishka of Lake Villa, IL and Dan Flannery of Brodhead; one sister: Virginia Swingen of Argyle; two brothers-in-law: Dick (Bette) Hassenfelt of Janesville, WI and Jerry Hassenfelt of Argyle; one sister-in-law: Geraldine (Myron) Olson of Monroe, WI; nine nieces, nephews and their families and many other dear close cousins and friends. He was preceded death by his parents; one brother-in-law: Russell Swingen; and one sister-in-law: Ann Hassenfelt.
Don was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and former member of its church council. He was also a past member of Darlington Irish Club, Blackhawk Saddle Club, numerous euchre clubs in the area and the Eagles Bowling Club.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a branch of St. Isadore Parish, 213 N. Lafayette Street in Argyle with Rev. Thomas Gillespie officiating. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Argyle. A visitation will be held on Saturday February 6, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
