MONROE - David R. "Elmo" Wright, 57, of Monroe passed away on Sat. Mar. 26, 2016.
He was born on April 20, 1958 in Rockford, a son of Roy D. and Betty (Whitmer) Wright and was a 1976 Graduate of Pearl City High School.
In 1979 he was injured in a motorcycle accident and has since been in the loving care of his mother and step-father.
David was a member of the Yellow Creek Church of The Brethren near Pearl City.
Survivors include his step-father, Lloyd "Kit" Carson of Monroe, his sisters, Kathy (Bill) Williams of Pearl City and Paula (Jerry) Beckman of Monroe, his brother, Chuck (Lisa) Carson of Pearl City, nieces and nephews, his Aunts, Darlene Torine of Monroe and Colleen Whitmer of Freeport
Preceding him in death were his father, his mother, Betty Carson on Mar. 14, 2016, and his sister, Mary Isenberger.
Services will be at 1:30 pm on Sat. April 2, 2016 at the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren near Pearl City with Pastor Ellis Boughton officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. The visitation will be on Friday from 5 to 7 pm at the Offenheiser-Schwarz Funeral Home in Pearl City.
