STOUGHTON/BLANCHARDVILLE - David Lee Dammen, age 46 of Stoughton, formerly of Blanchardville died from complications with Huntington's disease on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Agrace HospiceCare in Madison. He was born on June 11, 1965 to Jerry & Karen (Hinrichs) Dammen in Madison. He grew up with his family in the rural Blanchardville area. David attended Pecatonica area grade and high school. While in high school he loved wrestling and football. David was married on October 28, 1989 in the Yellowstone Lutheran Church to Brenda Mick. He worked for Stoughton Trailer for several years, and then Oscar Meyer in Madison for many years. David was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved the Packers and Badgers. He was baptized, confirmed and married at the Yellowstone Lutheran Church in rural Blanchardville. David loved enjoying the outdoors with his children.

David is survived by his wife, Brenda Dammen of Stoughton; a son, Chris Dammen of Gratiot; a daughter, Brooke Dammen of Stoughton; his father, Jerry (Sandra) Dammen of Blanchardville; a sister, Kathy (Tracy) Thronson of Mount Horeb; and a mother-in-law, Joanne Mick of Monroe. David was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Dammen on May 7, 1997; a brother James on June 6, 1988; and a brother Larry on October 18, 2006.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Yellowstone Lutheran Church at 4472 Saints Road in rural Blanchardville. Rev. Dan Bohlman will officiate. Burial will be in the Yellowstone Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Saether Funeral Home in Blanchardville.
