ALBANY - Danny Waite of Albany, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 28, 1946, in Adams, Wisconsin, the youngest son of Benjamin and Verla (Morgan) Waite.

He had been employed by Latitude Corporation in Verona as a welding technician.

Danny's favorite pasttime was musky fishing, catching over 1,000 in his lifetime. He also possessed a Wisconsin hook and line record for a musky weighing 32 pounds, 4 ounces.

The true love of his life was his wife, Wendy, who shared his love of fishing, camping and everything in between.

Danny was blessed with two children from a previous marriage, a son, Eran, and a daughter, Bridget, each of whom he loved with all his heart. He was further blessed with a granddaughter, Caelan.

Danny is survived by his wife, Wendy, Albany; son, Eran (Brenda) Waite, Janesville; daughter, Bridget (Justin) Givens, Chippewa Falls; granddaughter, Caelan Givens; and his children's mother, Nikki McNall, of Shell Lake, Wisconsin. He is further survived by his mother, Verla Waite, Sun Prairie; a brother, Dean (Ruth) Waite, Sun Prairie, and brother, John (Barbara) Waite, Enid, Oklahoma. Danny was pre-deceased by his father, Benjamin Waite; and his sister, Mona Kelsey.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Oncology Staff of Monroe Clinic, the Monroe Clinic Hospice Team, Tom Porter and Dr. Susan Kinast-Porter and all the nurses and technicians who gave Danny such wonderful and loving care.
