DOVER, Del. (AP) - In a story Feb. 24 about the Wisconsin-based Dr. R.C. Samanta Roy Institute of Science and Technology, The Associated Press reported erroneously that the group was the subject of an FBI investigation into alleged threats against dozens of people. In 2008, the FBI notified 60 residents of a Wisconsin city that they were "potential victims of an implied threat" discovered during an unspecified investigation. The FBI released no other details and in 2009 federal prosecutors said no charges would be filed in connection with the investigation. The group has repeatedly denied making such threats.
