In a story on the emerald ash borer published in the Thursday, June 20 edition of The Monroe Times, the City of Monroe's ash tree planting was described incorrectly. The city had a count of the number of ash trees it planted and started a planting program in 1986. It stopped planting ash trees in terraces in 2006, because of the threat of the emerald ash borer.

The Times regrets the error.
