A story in the Jan. 20 edition of The Monroe Times incorrectly said that Alan Gerber will continue to receive the same compensation as he undertakes the position of interim director of public works for the city of Monroe. Per city policy, Gerber, who is currently the engineering supervisor, will receive an additional $200 per month for taking on the additional duties. If a permanent director is not hired within two months, the city will revisit Gerber's compensation.
