• Shelby James Peevyhouse, 21, Monroe, pleaded no contest Monday, Sept. 17, to two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and was fined $598, payable on a plan of $20 per month. Court records indicate he yelled and swore at, hit and strangled a 20-year-old woman on June 12 on Dutch Hollow Road in the Town of Sylvester; and yelled, smashed the windows on his own car and threw another person's cellphone into a field on July 23 in Honey Creek Park in Monroe. Charges of battery, strangulation and felony bail jumping were dismissed.
