On Thursday:
Lucas Stanley Rittenhouse, 22, Brodhead, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea of felony theft between $2,500 and $5000, and misdemeanor theft under $2,500. Rittenhouse also had five counts of misdemeanor theft and four counts of felony burglary dismissed on a prosecutor's motion. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Jan. 19. He will serve 100 hours of community service within the first year of his two-year probation and is ordered to undergo alcohol and other drug assessment classes. If Rittenhouse complies with all stipulations of his probation, the charges could be expunged. He owes the court $352.
Korie Tyrone Schiffman, 44, New Glarus, had bond set at $2,000 with additional conditions that he not do drugs or possess drug paraphernalia. Schiffman is charged with two Class I felony counts of possession of narcotic drugs and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, stemming from an incident that occurred on Oct. 22. Police reports show that an ambulance was called for Schiffman, who was suffering from a drug overdose. Schiffman was allegedly found in possession of heroin and prescription medication not prescribed to him. He was medically cleared and arrested. If convicted for the maximum penalty Schiffman could face up to seven years imprisonment or $20,000 in fines or both. He has a preliminary hearing set for Nov. 11.

Peter J. Cosgrove, 34, Monroe, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea of one count of disorderly conduct stemming from an incident that occurred on Aug. 4. Cosgrove served one day in jail and owes the court $443.
Jared W. Monte-Hayden, 17, Juda, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea of possession of marijuana, he also had counts of resisting an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia dismissed. Monte-Hayden owes a forfeiture fine of $267.50 and will have his driver's license suspended for 90 days. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on June 7. Police reports indicate Monte-Hayden was at an underage drinking party at a residence on Washington Street, Juda. He was cited along with 10 other teenagers.
Justin M. Mojica, 32, New Glarus, was released on a $2,000 signature bond with additional conditions that he have no contact with the alleged victim in this case or their residence. Mojica is charged with two counts of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct, one count of battery and one count of criminal damage to property, stemming from an incident that occurred on Oct. 18. If convicted for the maximum penalty on all counts, Mojica could face up to two years imprisonment or $24,000 in fines or both. Mojica has a pretrial conference set for Jan. 6.
