GREEN COUNTY
FELONIES
Catlin Cash Wiese, 27, Monroe, pleaded no contest Wednesday to a Class H felony charge of failing to comply with the requirements of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry. Wiese was convicted of a Class G felony charge of third-degree sexual assault in 2007, and as such is required to provide up-to-date information of his activities to the Registry. According to court records, Wiese's parole officer informed the Registry on Oct. 5 that Wiese maintained a Facebook profile under the pseudonym "Timmy Elkins" without notifying the Registry. One of the requirements the Registry places on offenders is to provide "every Internet user name the person uses, and the name and Internet address of every public or private Internet profile the person creates, uses or maintains." Wiese will next appear in court on Dec. 15 for a sentencing hearing.
MISDEMEANORS
Trevor Robert Frie, 24, Monroe, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and fined $518 after he pleaded no contest Wednesday to a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. The charge stemmed from an incident on Jan. 22 when police apprehended Frie at a residence in the 1700 block of 17th Street, Monroe, on a probation warrant and discerned the smell of marijuana on Frie. Upon apprehension, Frie admitted to having smoked marijuana recently and produced a baggie containing two grams of marijuana from his pocket. Frie was permitted to begin his sentence after the Thanksgiving holiday so he could be present for his daughter's birth within the next three weeks.
