Misdemeanors

• Charles W. Anderson, 36, Blanchardville, pleaded no contest Tuesday to a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct stemming from an incident Jan. 2. He was fined $505. A Class A misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree sexual assault was dismissed. Court records indicate that Anderson groped a woman at Monroe bars in the 1300 block of 17th Street, despite her repeated requests for him to stop. The incident left her shaken and "fearful." Anderson later told an investigator he had spent about $300 on alcohol that night and his memory was "foggy," but he eventually admitted to touching and squeezing her and making inappropriate comments.

• Jack T. Martin, 63, address unknown, was fined $229.70 Monday on a citation for writing a worthless check for $59.13 to Monroe Tire and Service Center, 1117 18th Ave., on July 16, 2010. He was originally charged with a misdemeanor count of writing a worthless check. Prosecutors agreed to downgrade the charge to a citation, explaining that Martin "has paid complete restitution for the check."

• Eric G. Peterson, 49, Blanchardville, pleaded guilty Wednesday and was sentenced to five days in jail for a Class A misdemeanor conviction of theft of moveable property. Two charges of theft by false representation were dismissed. He is ordered to pay $715 for restitution and fees. Court records indicate Peterson took a 40-foot Little Giant grain elevator and two "600" choppers in July 2014 from a residence in the W9900 block of Buckeye Road, Town of York, and sold them as scrap for $885.30 by falsely representing himself as their owner to employees at Bahr Iron and Metal, N2193 Clarno Rd., Monroe. He also reportedly falsely represented himself as the owner of a Uni Harvester and sold it as scrap for about $500 at Watkin's Auto Salvage, W2898 Pernot Lane, Town of York.

• Kendra L. Bunnell, 21, Browntown, was charged Sept. 22 with possessing marijuana, second-offense operating while intoxicated with a passenger younger than 16, second-offense operating while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance with a passenger younger than 16 and driving with a revoked license, all misdemeanors. The charges stem from a May 29 traffic stop on a 2004 Subaru on 20th Avenue at 14th Street in Monroe, according to court records. Police stopped Bunnell because her tail lamps weren't lit. An officer noted in his report that the Subaru smelled strongly of marijuana and Bunnell had bloodshot eyes, constricted pupils and was swaying. She failed sobriety tests. Officers located a partially smoked joint in the glove compartment and two open 40-ounce bottles of Hurricane malt liquor on the front passenger floorboard. Both Bunnell and her 15-year-old passenger denied knowing anything about the joint or malt liquor. Bunnell has an initial appearance Oct. 5.
