FELONIES

• Ryan Michael Richardson, 32, Brodhead, was charged Oct. 31 with five counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct. The charges stem from an incident on Oct. 27 when he reportedly became angry when an alcoholic beverage he was drinking was taken away from him while he was in the N4200 block of Park Road, Town of Decatur. Richardson's actions violated his bond from a Aug. 30 drunk-driving case and his bond from a Sept. 12 case of operating a firearm while drunk. As both bonds prohibited Richardson from drinking and committing further crimes, he incurred two bail jumping charges for each bond. The fifth charge arose when police found a folding knife on his person, which was also prohibited by the Sept. 12 bond. Richardson signed a $25,000 cash bond with still more prohibitions against drinking or possessing weapons on Oct. 31. A review hearing is scheduled for Nov. 28. The maximum possible sentence for Richardson's charges is 15 years in prison.

• Anthony J. G. Painter, 25, Wisconsin Dells, was charged Nov. 2 with a Class H felony count of false imprisonment and misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and battery after a domestic abuse incident at the Super 8 hotel in Monroe on Oct. 7. The victim told police she had a recording of the incident on her phone. The maximum possible charge for Painter's charges is three years in prison. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 19.

• Trayswan S. Hampton, 23, Janesville, Renee Green, 48, Janesville, and Tekeisha L. Ware, 27, Middleton, were all charged Nov. 4 with a Class I felony count of retail theft after they were seen stealing merchandise from the Monroe Wal-Mart on June 2. The three were seen stealing $1,387.28 worth of merchandise, the vast majority of which was baby formula, by surreptitiously placing the items in a plastic tote bag, which was also stolen. The three were later apprehended after a traffic stop on June 9 north of Monroe, where much of the stolen products were discovered. The maximum possible sentence for the charge is $1.5 years in prison.

• Dylan D. Gile, 25, Gratiot, was charged Monday with a Class F felony count of burglary and misdemeanor counts of theft and criminal damage to property after he allegedly broke into the Sir Buk's nightclub in Monroe on Aug. 23 and stole eight bottles of liquor and eight frozen pizzas. In the process of the burglary, the intruder apparently kicked the business' door hard enough to damage it. Gile had reportedly been at the club earlier that night before being asked to leave for his drunk and unruly behavior. After the burglary, Gile was found in Jo Daviess County in a repainted car and with the stolen items. The maximum possible sentence for his charges is 7.5 years in prison.
