FELONIES

• Randy Alan Gerber, 24, Monroe, pleaded no contest Monday, Oct. 29, to a charge of concealing 322 pounds of copper wire that had been stolen from Gentz Electric in June 2011. He is also convicted of violating conditions of his bond by injecting himself with heroin. Court records indicate in February he overdosed after shooting up in an apartment in the 2700 block of 8th 1/2 Street. He is sentenced to 18 months of probation with the conditions that he pay court costs and restitution and continue alcohol and drug counseling.

• Nicholas David Siegel, 19, Monroe, pleaded no contest Wednesday, Oct. 31, to breaking and entering in August into the "Muenster Building" at Klondike Cheese Factory, W7839 Wisconsin 81, Town of Jordan, and in July into the Argyle Rod and Gun Club, W9408 Wis. 81, Town of Adams. Related theft and vandalism charges were read into Siegel's sentence. He also pleaded no contest to revoking his probation on burglary charges from 2010. He is sentenced to 18 months in prison and 3 1/2 years of extended supervision.

• Alexander J. Clark, 24, Brodhead, pleaded no contest Thursday, Nov. 1, to driving a black 2008 Dodge Viper without the consent of the owner in January and to then tampering with evidence and lying to police. He is sentenced to a two-year probation with the conditions that he pay $520 to the court, comply with any recommended counseling and not drink. If he successfully completes his probation, the charges may be dismissed.

• Jonathan J. Wettach, 28, Monticello, pleaded no contest Friday, Nov. 2, to driving while intoxicated (fourth offense) and was sentenced to nine months in jail and two years of probation. Court records indicate he was arrested with a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.197 percent in November 2011 during a traffic stop on County C in the Town of Mount Pleasant. His license is revoked 27 months. Conditions of his probation include staying drug- and alcohol-free and following through with any recommended counseling.

• Jeremy H. Hardyman, 27, Madison, pleaded no contest Friday, Nov. 2, to possessing more than a quarter pound of marijuana with the intent to deliver and as a party to a crime in April in the parking lot of Walgreens, 717 8th Ave., Monroe. Two additional drug-possession charges were read into his sentence. The charges stem from an undercover operation by the State Line Area Narcotics Team. Hardyman is sentenced to two years of probation with the conditions that he pay his court costs, undergo alcohol and drug counseling and not drink.

MISDEMEANORS

• Jaime Castellanos Lugo, Jr., 22, Monroe, pleaded no contest Wednesday, Oct. 31, to a charge of disorderly conduct and was granted a one-year deferred prosecution. Conditions of his deferred prosecution include getting counseling for anger management and alcohol and drug abuse. He must also pay the court $343 and attend monitoring conferences. Court records indicate he was disorderly, intoxicated and verbally abusive toward his family at a residence in the 800 block of 24th Street on Sept. 12.

• Michael Anthony Laffin, 22, Monroe, pleaded no contest Wednesday, Oct. 31, to a Class A misdemeanor charge of criminal damage to property stemming from an incident in August in the 2300 block of 5th Avenue in Monroe. Court records indicate he was verbally abusive and kicked a car. He and a witness blamed his behavior on withdrawal from synthetic marijuana. Laffin told an officer he buys the "legal bud" from a head shop in Monroe. He also pleaded no contest to violating conditions of his bond on Oct. 2 by smoking "Bizzarro" brand blueberry-flavored synthetic marijuana. He is sentenced to two years of probation.

• Carleton Edward Williams, 32, Brodhead, pleaded no contest Friday, Nov. 2, to a Class A misdemeanor charge of battery stemming from an incident in June at a home in the 600 block of East Exchange Street in Brodhead. Court records indicate he was physically abusive to a woman. He is sentenced to five days in jail and ordered to pay $650 in fines plus court fees.

• David B. Waage, 58, Monroe, pleaded no contest Friday, Nov. 2, to a Class B misdemeanor charge of telephone harassment and was fined $200. Court records indicate Waage made repeated, harassing phone calls in June to area Sugar River Banks and the Bank of New Glarus and threatened to kill employees.

• Rasaan Maurice Warner, 25, Freeport, Ill., pleaded no contest Tuesday, Nov. 6, to violating a Stephenson County, Ill., restraining order by parking and remaining in a purple Plymouth van outside a Monroe residence on April 22. He was fined. He owes the court $505.

• Andrea Kay Anderson, 30, Monticello, pleaded no contest Tuesday, Nov. 6, to writing a worthless check of $239.50 to the Monticello PTO in October 2011. She was fined. She owes the court $330.50.
