Felonies

• Cody Allen Kirschbaum, 26, Albany, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea of felony aggravated battery, misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property. Kirschbaum will serve 120 days in jail and 36 months on probation. The charges stem from an incident that occurred in June 2013. Court records indicate Kirschbaum hit a 2001 Ford Mustang with a chrome pipe causing about $700 worth of damages. When two people rushed out of a house on Oak Street, Albany, to confront Kirschbaum he swung the pipe at them repeatedly. One of Kirschbaum's victims is a hemophiliac, a rare blood disorder that does not allow blood to clot normally, and the victim required treatment for severe bruising, lacerations and cuts. Kirschbaum apparently attacked the victims under the suspicion that they knew there were warrants out for his arrest and were going to alert police to his whereabouts. He owes the court $176.
