Felonies

• Dominique A. Ropele, 18, Monroe, was released on a $5,000 signature bond with additional conditions that she not do drugs or possess drug paraphernalia. Ropele is charged with one Class I felony count of possession of marijuana with intent to sell and misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Oct. 3. If convicted for the maximum penalty on all counts, Ropele could face up to three years and nine months imprisonment or $11,000 plus costs or both. She has a preliminary hearing set for Nov. 24.



Misdemeanors

On Monday:

• Tyler Shane Holst, 18, Monroe, had a signature bond set at $1,500 with additional conditions that he not do drugs or possess drug paraphernalia. Holst is charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and one count of disorderly conduct, stemming from an incident that occurred on Oct. 3. If convicted for the maximum penalty on all charges, Holst could face up to 90 days in jail or $1,000 in fines plus costs or both. He has a pretrial conference set for Jan. 6

• Rebecca L. Thompson, 31, Monroe, had a signature bond of $1,000 set with additional conditions that she not drink, go to bars or liquor stores and proceed to complete processing at the Monroe Police Department. Thompson is charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration, both second offenses. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Oct. 11. Court records indicate a police officer observed her SUV pull out of the wrong way down the one-way street of 16th Avenue in Monroe. After being pulled over the officer asked Thompson how much she had to drink, to which she replied "not enough." The officer noted in his report that she had bloodshot, glossy eyes and was slurring her words. Thompson performed a field sobriety test and a preliminary breath test that came in at .15 percent. She has a pretrial conference set for Jan. 6.

• Robert T. Alexander, 25, South Wayne, was released on a $1,000 signature bond with additional conditions that he not drink or go to bars or liquor stores. Alexander is charged with DWI and driving with a PAC, both second offenses, stemming from an incident that occurred on Oct. 10. Court records indicate police pulled over Alexander's truck after running his plates and seeing the registration was expired. The officer wrote in his report that Alexander had bloodshot, glossy eyes and there was an odor of intoxicants on his person. Alexander performed a field sobriety test and a preliminary breath test that yielded .18 percent. The officer found an open can of beer and bottle of Fireball whiskey in Alexander's vehicle. He has a pretrial conference set for Jan. 6.

• James T. Smith, 50, Albany, had one count of knowingly violating a domestic-abuse order dismissed as a part of a deferred prosecution agreement. The charge stems from an incident that occurred on Aug. 25. He owes no fines or penalties.

• Dustin W. White Jr., 21, Orfordville, had a signature bond set at $1,000 with additional conditions that he have no contact with a residence in the 2200 block of 1st Street, Monroe. White is charged with one count of theft of movable property under $2,500 stemming from an incident that occurred on Oct. 7. If convicted for the maximum penalty, White could face up to $10,000 or nine months imprisonment or both. He has a pretrial conference set for Nov. 6.

• Amanda K. Meighan, 22, Monroe, was released on a $1,000 signature bond with additional conditions that she not drink or enter bars or liquor stores unless she is at work. Meighan is charged with DWI and driving with a PAC, both second offenses, stemming from an incident that occurred on Sept. 26. Police reports indicate she was arrested after she lost control of her vehicle on 11th Avenue in Monroe and hit a utility pole. She has a pretrial conference set for Jan. 6.
