Misdemeanors


- Stephen John Bak, 19, Madison, pleaded no contest Tuesday, Nov. 13, to a Class A misdemeanor charge of stealing a GPS, speakers and amplifiers in the 400 block of East Dale Street in Browntown on July 21, 2011. He was granted a one-year deferred prosecution with the conditions that he pay $800 in restitution to the victim and $163 in court fees and attend monitoring conferences.

- Rio, pleaded no contest Thursday, Nov. 15, to writing four worthless checks totaling $128.91 in October 2011 to Blanchardville Co-op Oil Association (Cenex), 1401 Wisconsin 69, New Glarus. The original misdemeanor charge was downgraded to a forfeiture offense. Duran has already paid $268.91 in restitution. He owes a $50 fine, plus court costs totaling $217.50.

- Patricia E. Ramsay, 29, Slinger, was charged Monday, Nov. 19, with a Class A misdemeanor charge of writing two worthless checks totaling $99.94 in March to Gempeler's Market, 219 N. Main St., Monticello. Her initial appearance is set for Dec. 10.
