GREEN COUNTY
FELONIES
Kendrick James Eichelkraut, 24, Monticello, was sentenced Monday to nine months in jail and three years of probation after standing mute on a fourth-offense felony charge of driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration. The charge stems from an incident July 24 when Eichelkraut struck another vehicle in the W3800 block of Fahey Road, Town of Exeter. Although Eichelkraut was uninjured, the other driver sustained a head injury and was lapsing in and out of consciousness before being transported by MedFlight to a local hospital, according to police records. Eichelkraut was found to have a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.26 percent. Eichelkraut was already serving a nine-month term in jail on a misdemeanor charge of bail jumping, as the accident violated the terms of his probation from a previous drunk-driving incident.
Adam Daniel Fiorucci, 27, Monroe, was sentenced Monday to two years of probation, including 50 hours of community service, and fined $518 after pleading no contest to a Class H felony charge of distributing Schedule IV narcotics. Fiorucci was charged after a confidential source recorded a successful drug purchase from Fiorucci on April 2, 2014, and again April 4, 2014. During the first sale, Fiorucci sold 20 1-mg tablets of the epilepsy medication Clonazepam. Fiorucci sold 6 more tablets of Clonazepam during the second sale, after which he was arrested.
MISDEMEANORS
Samantha Jo Guinter, 25, Albany, was sentenced Tuesday to 18 months of probation and fined $986 after pleading no contest to a Class A misdemeanor charge of battery and a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. The charges stem from two separate events on July 14 and July 20, respectively. The former incident took place in the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room. Guinter, who was intoxicated, resisted treatment and attempted to escape from the facility. According to police records, when she was apprehended, Guinter resisted, screaming profanities at officers and kicking one in the face. The second incident occurred when Guinter became involved in a disturbance at a residence in the 300 block of North Mechanic Street in Albany. Guinter had locked herself inside the bathroom and could not be persuaded to leave for some time, according to police records. When she did leave, she engaged in a physical confrontation with family members, who called police because they were worried about Guinter's mental health and propensity for self-harm. Guinter's probation will require her to undergo a mental health assessment.
