Felonies

• The court, April 27, sentenced Brandon J. Disrud, 22, Monroe, to three months in jail with work release privileges and five years probation after he pleaded no contest to manufacturing/delivering cocaine as a repeat offender.

He faced more than 18 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class F felony.

Court records indicate he delivered about 5 grams of cocaine to an undercover officer June 29 in Monroe. He was convicted of possession of marijuana, criminal trespassing and theft in 2007.

• The court Thursday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a May 27 status conference for Nathan R.M. Sweet, 18, Monroe, who stood mute to battery, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.

Court records allege he fought with another inmate March 2 in the Green County Jail.

He is charged with battery by a prisoner, a class H felony; criminal damage to property, a class A misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to seven years in prison and up to $21,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $3,000 signature bond.

• Marianne Zubek, 44, Brodhead, remains free on a $2,000 signature bond after making her initial appearance April 26 for possession of marijuana.

Court records allege she had about 2 grams of marijuana in her possession March 5 in a parking lot in Brodhead.

She is charged with possession of marijuana, a class I felony.

She faces more than three years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, if convicted.

An arraignment was scheduled for June 2.

• The court, April 27, scheduled a June 15 district attorney conference for Nicholas C. Meinke, 27, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records allege he had about 4 grams of marijuana and a metal pipe in his possession March 29 in Monroe.

He is charged with possession of marijuana, a class I felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor. He faces more than three years in prison and more than $10,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $1,500 signature bond.

• The court, April 27, entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a June 15 district attorney conference for Travis A. Vincent, 20, Monroe, who stood mute to possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records allege he had about 6 grams of marijuana and a smoking device in his possession March 14 in Monroe.

He is charged with possession of marijuana, a class I felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor. He faces more than three years in prison and more than $10,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $2,000 signature bond.

Misdemeanors

• The court, April 26, entered into a one-year deferred prosecution agreement with Andrew J. Ostby, 44, New Glarus, who pleaded no contest to bail jumping.

He faced up to nine months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class A misdemeanor.

Court records indicate he drank alcohol while on bond for third-offense drunken driving and third-offense driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration Feb. 6 in New Glarus.

• The court, April 27, sentenced Sean R. Schmelzer, 23, Monroe, to 16 months probation after he pleaded no contest to bail jumping.

He faced up to nine months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines for the class A misdemeanor.

Court records indicate he violated conditions of his bond by obstructing an officer April 2 in Monroe.

• The court, April 26, scheduled a June 15 district attorney conference for Cindy K. Miller, 38, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct.

Court records indicate she slapped a woman and pulled her hair March 27 at a Clarno township residence.

She is charged with disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. She faced up to three months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines, if convicted.

She remains free on a $300 signature bond.
