• Timothy Michael Mau, 40, Darlington, pleaded no contest April 10 to a Class I felony count of fraud. He was sentenced to 24 months of probation and ordered to pay restitution, court costs and fees. He must also undergo any treatment and counseling his probation officer deems appropriate. Records indicate Mau used a relative's debit card without her consent to make numerous ATM withdrawals and purchases totaling $3,345.25 in January and February 2014. In a victim-impact statement filed with the court, she wrote that as a result of the theft, she suffered loss of sleep, couldn't fix her car and had to cancel a vacation she had planned. "I do feel he has a drug problem and he needs help to clean himself up," she wrote.
