The court Tuesday scheduled an April 17 plea/sentencing hearing for Travis P. Bowles, 20, Monticello, who is charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
Court records allege he had 32 grams of marijuana in a plastic bag and two grams of marijuana in a plastic bag in his possession Dec. 17 near the Senior Center Park. He was convicted of possession of marijuana in 2008.
He is charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana with intent to deliver near a park, a class I felony. He faces up to nine years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $4,000 signature bond.
Michael E. Kaszuba, 38, Monroe, remains free on a $3,000 signature bond after making his initial appearance Monday for child abuse.
Court records allege he grabbed a child by the shoulder and neck and threw the child to the floor March 11 in a Monroe residence.
He is charged with child abuse, a class H felony. He faces up to six years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, if convicted.
His preliminary hearing is April 15.
Misdemeanors
The court Tuesday sentenced Matthew J. Cronau, 54, Monroe, to 120 days in jail with work release privileges after he pleaded no contest to battery and disorderly conduct.
He faced up to one year in jail and up to $11,000 in fines for the class A and class B misdemeanors.
Court records indicate he argued with a woman and grabbed her July 19 in Monroe. He was on bond for disorderly conduct at the time of the incident.
The court Tuesday entered into a deferred prosecution agreement with Cory R. Bohn, 21, Monroe, who pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct.
He faced up to three months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class B misdemeanor.
The court dismissed one count of battery, a class A misdemeanor. He originally faced up to one year in prison and up to $11,0000 in fines.
