The court Tuesday scheduled a March 28 arraignment for Benjamin R. Normington, 21, Brodhead, who is charged with drug and drug paraphernalia possession.
Court records indicate he had marijuana and a pipe and rolling papers in his possession Jan. 5 in Monroe township. He was convicted of possession of marijuana in 2004.
He is charged with possession of marijuana, a class I felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor. He faces more than three years in jail and more than $10,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $1,500 signature bond.
Misdemeanors
The court Tuesday fined Bradley J. Rear, 45, Monroe, $841 after he pleaded no contest to being in a stolen vehicle and having drug paraphernalia in his possession.
He faced up to 18 months in jail and up to $10,500 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class A and unclassified misdemeanors.
The court dismissed one count of operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent, a class H felony. He was convicted of violating a domestic abuse order and disorderly conduct in 2004. He originally faced more than eight years in prison and up to $20,500 in fines.
