Felonies

• Chelsea R. Knell, 25, Monroe, was found guilty of battery Tuesday due to a no-contest plea. The charge stems from an incident Oct. 18. Knell also had charges of bail jumping and disorderly conduct dismissed. Knell was sentenced to 18 months of probation concurrent to her other sentences. Court records indicate Knell punched her boyfriend, causing him to become unconscious at a bar in the 1300 block of 17th Street. She owes a fine of $176.



Misdemeanors

On Wednesday:

• Austin J. Ferguson, 19, Brodhead, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of possession of marijuana; he also had a possession of drug paraphernalia charge dismissed. The charges stem from an incident March 14. Ferguson owes a fine of $395.50.

• Reginald T. Cox, 37, Monroe, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of disorderly conduct; he also had a charge of battery dismissed. Cox owes a fine of $542. Court records indicate that on Nov. 1, Cox slapped his roommate and pulled her by her hair. The victim told police Cox slapped her five times. Both the victim and Cox had preliminary breath tests at .13 percent and .15 percent, respectively.

On Tuesday:

• Eric J. Ball, 43, Brodhead, was sentenced to one year of probation as a part of a deferred prosecution agreement for a charge of disorderly conduct. Ball also had charges of resisting an officer and disorderly conduct dismissed. If he complies with all conditions, the charge could be dismissed. Court records indicate that on Jan. 25, Ball was intoxicated and yelling and swearing at his wife in front of their children. Ball continued to be disorderly after being arrested. He owes a forfeiture fine of $243.

• Nathaniel C. Hardy, 18, Monroe, was sentenced to six months of probation as a part of a DPA for a charge of fraudulent use of a credit card for less than $2,500. Hardy had two additional counts of fraudulent use of a credit card dismissed. If he complies with all conditions, the charge could be dismissed. He owes a forfeiture fine of $196.

• Matthew L. Wyss, 39, Janesville, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of domestic abuse-related harassment, stemming from an incident that occurred on Oct. 23. Court records indicate Wyss threatened to stab a man who was dating his ex-girlfriend. He owes a forfeiture fine of $236.

• Brandon S. Richardson, 25, Monroe, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of disorderly conduct; he also had a charge of criminal damage to property dismissed. Richardson was sentenced to 10 days in jail with work release privileges. The charges stem from an incident Sept. 4. He owes a fine of $243. Richardson was also found guilty due to a no-contest plea of possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from an incident that occurred on Dec. 1. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail consecutive to his other sentence. He owes a fine of $243 for the possession offense.

• Chelsea R. Knell, 25, Monroe, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of battery, stemming from an incident that occurred in January 2014. Knell was sentenced to 18 months of probation with the possibility of the charge being expunged if she completes here probation. Court records indicate Knell got into a fist fight with a woman at a bar in the W5000 block of County KK and then fled the scene before police arrived. She owes a fine of $176.
