GREEN COUNTY
FELONIES
Shawna Hmielewski, 30, Beloit, was sentenced Monday to two years of probation after she pleaded no contest to a felony count of forgery. As part of a plea agreement prosecutors reached with Hmielewski and her attorney, a misdemeanor theft charge was dismissed. She is ordered to seek career counseling and alcohol and drug treatment her probation officers deem appropriate. She also must pay restitution and court costs. Court records indicate she owes the court $503.77. The forgery charge stemmed from a Nov. 6 incident in which Hmielewski tried to pass as genuine a $387.77 check from "C-Staff Corporation" at Sugar River Bank in Brodhead.
MISDEMEANORS
Eric Leibold, 49, Monroe, was charged Monday with misdemeanor bail jumping for allegedly violating a bond condition in another case by driving during the hours he was not allowed to do so in June. According to police documents, he signed a $500 signature bond March 17 in a case in which he's charged with operating while revoked. One condition of the bond is that he not "operate a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license on a public highway or roadway in the State of Wisconsin," court records indicate. An officer who recognized Leibold from previous contacts reportedly observed him driving in the 1600 block of 4th Avenue in Monroe and stopped him at 11:35 p.m. June 18. According to the criminal complaint, his occupational license only allowed him to start driving after 1 a.m. He made his initial appearance in the latest case Monday, after which he signed another $500 signature bond. He has a status conference July 16.
Michael Heidenreich, 28, Monroe, had misdemeanor charges of entering a dwelling without permission, trespassing, criminal damage to property, battery and disorderly conduct conditionally dismissed July 2 as part of an agreement he and his attorney reached with prosecutors. The charges will be dismissed after a year if he follows all conditions of the agreement. He is ordered to complete treatment or counseling the court deems appropriate, attend quarterly monitoring conferences and not commit any new crime and not contact the victim or her residence. The charges stemmed from a March 15 incident in which Heidenreich allegedly kicked in the door to an apartment and hit and choked a woman he knows.
Brenton Drewel, 33, Albany, was charged Monday with possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia after police stopped him for not having a front license plate May 24 on Wisconsin 11 at Dill Road in the Town of Cadiz and allegedly smelled drugs in the car. Officers reportedly seized a plastic bag containing two grams of suspected marijuana and a glass pipe. Drewel was arrested and turned over to a responsible party. He has an initial appearance July 13.
Adrian I. Ugalde-Chapman, 21, Monroe, had charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia conditionally dismissed Tuesday as part of an agreement he and his attorney reached with prosecutors. The charges will be dismissed after a year provided Ugalde-Chapman follows all conditions of the agreement. He is ordered to seek treatment and counseling the court deems appropriate, attend quarterly monitoring conferences and not commit any new crime. The charges stemmed from a April 2 incident in which Ugalde-Chapman and a woman were arrested and jailed after police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of 4th Avenue and found suspected marijuana, a scale and a glass pipe.
