Dustin A. Trumpy, 18, Monticello, has an initial appearance scheduled Aug. 13 on multiple charges filed against him Thursday, July 18. He faces four Class A misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property, two Class I felony counts of fleeing an officer and two Class A misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer. The criminal complaint alleges that on May 28, while driving a green 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, he ran over four mailboxes in the Town of Sylvester in the W3900 block of Towns Road and N4700 block of Rindhand Road, then fled law enforcement at speeds of more than 110 mph.

Kyrene Robin Trevino, 27, Monroe, pleaded no contest and was granted an 18-month deferred prosecution Friday, July 20, on misdemeanor charges of battery and disorderly conduct. Court records indicate she was physically violent and verbally abusive toward her parents during a disturbance at a residence on Swiss Court in July 2011. As part of her deferred prosecution, she has agreed to have her parents appointed guardians of her children, continue parenting classes, alcohol/drug counseling and mental health treatment, attend quarterly monitoring conferences and pay the court $343.
