MISDEMEANORS

• Scott H. West, 28, Juda, was granted a deferred prosecution agreement Tuesday after he pleaded no contest to domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct in two separate cases. As part of the agreement, charges of bail jumping and disorderly conduct were dismissed. The charges he pleaded no contest to will be dismissed after a year if he follows all conditions of the agreement. He is ordered to continue anger management counseling, seek domestic violence and behavior counseling, commit no new crimes and attend quarterly monitoring conferences. One of the charges stemmed from a Dec. 30 incident in which West yelled at a woman he knows and slammed the door to a residence in the W2900 block of Washington Street in the Town of Jefferson. The other was filed after a Feb. 4 incident in which he yelled and swore outside the woman's residence for several minutes.

• Mina Schneider, 19, Belleville, was granted a deferred prosecution agreement Tuesday after she pleaded no contest to criminal damage to property. As part of the agreement, felony counts of bail jumping and intimidating a victim through damage to property were dismissed. The criminal damage to property charge will be dismissed after a year if she follows all conditions of the agreement. She is ordered not to drink, possess or consume nonprescription controlled substances, have contact with the victim in the case or commit any new crimes. She also must undergo treatment and counseling the court deems appropriate and pay court costs. Police records indicate she owes the court $343. The charge stemmed from an incident in May 2014 in which she used a knife to cut two tires of a car that belongs to a woman Schneider knows. She later told police she had been drinking beforehand and thought it would be a good idea to slash the tires.

• Curtis J. Gerber, 31, Monroe, pleaded no contest Tuesday to disorderly conduct and must pay a fine. Police records indicate he owes the court $330.50. As part of an agreement prosecutors reached with Gerber and his attorney, the charge was reduced from a Class B misdemeanor to a forfeiture and a misdemeanor theft charge was dismissed. The disorderly conduct conviction stemmed from a May 4 incident in which Gerber yelled at a woman he knows at a residence in the 300 block of Church Street in Browntown, took the only key to her vehicle and told her, "Good luck finding another one." He later told police he didn't mean to take the key and forgot it was in his pocket.

• Gerald J. Wright, 26, Freeport, pleaded no contest Wednesday to possessing cocaine and must pay a fine. Police records indicate he owes the court $694. As part of an agreement prosecutors reached with Wright and his attorney, the charge was reduced from a Class I felony to a misdemeanor and an obstruction charge was dismissed. The drug conviction stemmed from a Feb. 6 incident in which police found 1.1 grams of cocaine in Wright's vehicle after they stopped him for making an improper turn in the 1000 block of 9th Street in Monroe. Officers called a K-9 unit, which alerted to the car. Police searched the vehicle and arrested Wright.

• Nicholas O. Grunke, 29, Dodgeville, pleaded guilty Wednesday to carrying a concealed weapon and must pay a fine. Police records indicate he owes the court $442. If he doesn't pay the full amount on time, he'll have to serve one day in jail for every $30 that remains unpaid, according to court documents. The conviction stemmed from a Dec. 31 incident in which Grunke was arrested and jailed after police found brass knuckles in Grunke's pocket at a residence in the 1200 block of 3rd Street in New Glarus.

• Eric G. Leibold, 49, Monroe, pleaded no contest to possessing drug paraphernalia and bail jumping Thursday, in two separate cases. As part of an agreement prosecutors reached with Leibold and his attorney, two other bail-jumping charges were dismissed. Court records indicate $884 worth of fines were assessed in the two cases, which Leibold has paid in full. The drug conviction stemmed from a March 15 incident in which police responded to a report of a car in the ditch near the N1100 block of Haddinger Road in the Town of Clarno and found a glass smoking device on Leibold when they searched him. The bail-jumping conviction stemmed from a July 6 incident in which police stopped Leibold, whom they recognized from past contacts, in the 1600 block of 4th Avenue West in Monroe and determined he violated his bond conditions by driving outside the hours allowed by his occupational license.
