FELONIES
- Samuel R. Schutte, 27, incarcerated, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Jan. 24, to Class H felony charges of escaping to leave the state and forgery, stemming from incidents in July and August of 2011. His sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 21. Misdemeanor charges against Schutte of escape, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia, all stemming from various incidents in 2011, were dismissed.
MISDEMEANORS
- Robert J. Oudinot, 52, Savannah, Ga., pleaded no contest and was fined $262.50 on Tuesday, Jan. 24, for a misdemeanor charge of malicious destruction of property that was amended to a forfeiture offense. The charge stems from a May 10, 2009, incident. Court records indicate Oudinot caused $2,332 in damage to a vehicle parked in a lot in the 1000 block of 30th Street and has paid full restitution.
- Orrin Hoyt Marsden, 19, Monroe, pleaded no contest and was sentenced on Tuesday, Jan. 24, to one year of probation and 15 days in jail with work-release privileges for a theft of electronics in August 2011 in Albany. His jail sentence is to begin Tuesday, Jan. 31. Conditions of Marsden's probation include payment of a $500 restitution, obtaining and maintaining employment, earning a GED, and having no contact with victims or a residence in the 500 block of North Mechanic Street in Albany. Marsden was also fined $243.
