Jeremy A. Barnett-Diaz Jr., 19, Albany, was released on a $1,000 signature bond with additional conditions that he not do drugs or possess drug paraphernalia. Barnett-Diaz is charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping, stemming from an incident that occurred on Nov. 1. Police reports show Barnett-Diaz was a passenger in a two-vehicle accident on County E and County EE, Town of Albany. The driver of the vehicle was rear-ended and spun around onto Dunphy Road. Barnett-Diaz was cited after K-9 unit Ike alerted to alleged drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. He was out on bond for charges of allegedly taking miscellaneous valuable items from a residence in the Town of Albany in August. Barnett-Diaz has a pretrial conference set for Feb. 24.
On Monday:
Alisa E. Ableman, 29, Monroe, was released on a $15,000 signature bond with additional conditions that she have no contact with the alleged victim in this case or his residence on Melvin Road. Ableman is charged with three Class H felony counts of forgery stemming from an incident that occurred on Nov. 29. Court records indicate Ableman drove around a co-defendant, Kelsey Wuethrich, to area banks and cashed forged checks allegedly taken from her father. In all, Wuethrich allegedly wrote three fraudulent checks and cashed them out for a total of $1,075. Ableman drove Wuethrich to the bank each time but did not accept any of the money. She has a preliminary hearing set for Jan. 14.
Christopher L. Shetler, 26, Janesville, will serve one year on probation as a part of a deferred prosecution agreement for one count of theft under $2,500, a misdemeanor, reduced from his former felony charge. Shetler could have the charge expunged from his record if he complies with all the terms of the DPA. According to court records, Shetler worked as a party to a crime in taking scrap metal from a resident in the N2400 block of Bethel Road between the months of July and August of 2011. Shetler and five other people stole various pieces of scrap metal adding up to $10,245 worth of property. Shetler and co-defendants, Michael Rogge, Cody Young, Orrin Mardsen, Josh Tree and Justin Young took the items to sell at Behr Salvage.

Austin J. Ferguson, 19, Orfordville, was released on Monday on a $1,500 signature bond with additional conditions that he not do drugs or possess drug paraphernalia. Ferguson is charged with possession of less than 200 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia stemming from an incident that occurred on March 14. If convicted on both counts for the maximum penalty, Ferguson could face up to $1,000 in fines or 60 days in jail or both.
