The court Friday scheduled a March 3 district attorney conference for Jerry A. Jackson Jr., 37, Machesney Park, Ill., who pleaded not guilty to charges related to a disturbance.
Court records allege he pushed a woman, dragged her up the stairs, slapped her, broke her glasses and tried to take her phone away Nov. 22 at a Clarno township residence.
He is charged with intimidation of a victim, a class G felony, criminal damage to property and battery, both class A misdemeanors, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces more than 11 years in prison and up to $46,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $4,000 signature bond.
The court Friday scheduled a Feb. 3 district attorney conference and entered a plea of not guilty for Eric J. Pickett, 33, Brodhead, who stood mute to drunken driving and driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration charges.
Court records allege he was drunk while driving Nov. 1 in Decatur township.
He is charged with drunken driving, fifth-or sixth offense, and driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration, fifth- or sixth offense, both class H felonies. He faces up to 20 years in prison and up to $20,000 in fines.
Misdemeanors
The court Friday entered into a two-year deferred prosecution agreement with Valentine Gandarilla, 22, Brodhead, who pleaded no contest to two counts of disorderly conduct.
He faced up to sixth months in jail and up to $2,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class B misdemeanors.
Court records indicate he fought with a man and kicked him Aug. 2 in Brodhead.
