Brian K. Adams, 48, Monroe, remains jailed on a $7,500 signature bond after making his initial appearance Thursday for drug charges.
Court records allege he had more than 26 grams of marijuana in a bag and a scale and sandwich bags in his possession Jan. 28 near the Senior Center Park in Monroe. He was convicted of manufacture/delivery of cocaine in 2003.
He is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver near a park as a repeat offender, a class I felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia as a repeat offender, an unclassified misdemeanor. He faces more than 12 years in prison and more than $10,000 in fines, if convicted.
His preliminary hearing is Feb. 4.
