Green County Felonies

• The court Wednesday scheduled a Feb. 7 sentencing hearing for Aaron M. Lawrence, 21, Monroe, who pleaded no contest to bail jumping and drug possession.

Court records indicate that while on bond for aggravated battery he was arrested for possession for marijuana Feb. 3 in Monroe. He had more than 12 grams of marijuana in his possession. He was convicted of possession of marijuana in 2006.

He is charged with bail jumping, a class H felony, and possession of marijuana, a class I felony. He faces more than nine years in prison and up to $20,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $1,800 signature bond and a $200 cash bond.

Misdemeanors

• The court Wednesday entered into a deferred prosecution agreement with Michael T. Krantz, 41, Brodhead, who pleaded no contest to attempted battery and disorderly conduct.

He faced more than seven months in jail and up to $6,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class A and class B misdemeanors.

He was originally charged with child abuse, a class I felony but the charge was amended to attempted battery.

He originally faced more than three years in prison and up to $11,000 in fines.

Court records indicate he grabbed a person's collar and threw cucumbers at a child Sept. 9 in Brodhead.

• The court Tuesday entered into a deferred prosecution agreement with Warren D. Simplot, 25, Brodhead, who pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct.

He faced up to three months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class B misdemeanor.

The court dismissed one count of battery, a class A misdemeanor.

He originally faced up to one year in jail and up to $11,000 in fines.

Court records indicate he pushed a woman, grabbed her wrist and broke her phone Sept. 27 in Brodhead.

• The court Tuesday entered into a deferred prosecution agreement with Genaro Vasquez-Martinez, 18, Monroe, who pleaded no contest to battery.

He faced up to nine months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class A misdemeanor.

The court amended one count of disorderly conduct to a county ordinance violation and fined him $100 plus court costs.

The court dismissed one count of second-degree reckless endangerment, a class G felony.

He originally faced up to 11 years in prison and up to $36,000 in fines.

Court records indicate he kicked a girl in the head, back and ankle July 16 in Monroe.

• The court Tuesday scheduled a March 18 district attorney conference for Brendon C. Collins, 17, Juda, who pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct.

Court records indicate he threatened a woman, yelled at her and acted as if he was going to throw a toy car at her.

He is charged with disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to three months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $300 signature bond.

• The court Tuesday scheduled a March 18 district attorney conference for Shane T. Nehls, 18, Brodhead, who pleaded not guilty to trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Court records indicate he pulled a woman away from her door and pushed her down Nov. 5 in Brodhead.

He is charged with trespassing, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to one year in jail and up to $11,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $1,000 signature bond.

• The court Tuesday scheduled a March 18 district attorney conference for Merlin G. Pellett, 79, Janesville, who pleaded not guilty to criminal damage to property.

Court records indicate he cut bark from a tree and cut a notch into the tree between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31 in Monroe. The tree doesn't belong to him.

He is charged with criminal damage to property, a class A misdemeanor. He faces up to nine months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $500 signature bond.

• The court Tuesday scheduled a March 18 district attorney conference for Ashley L. Grindle, 17, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to battery, obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct.

Court records indicate she refused to get out of her parents' car by putting her feet on the seat posts and swung her arms at her parents and hit a police officer.

She is charged with battery and obstructing an officer, both class A misdemeanors, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. She faces up to 21 months in jail and up to $21,000 in fines, if convicted.

She remains free on a $500 signature bond.

• The court Tuesday scheduled a March 18 district attorney conference for Nathan L. Wiesenberg Jr., 31, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to drug charges.

Court records indicate he had 10 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his possession Nov. 17 in Cadiz township.

He is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, both unclassified misdemeanors. He faces up to seven months in jail and up to $1,500 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $1,000 signature bond.

• The court Tuesday scheduled a March 18 district attorney conference for Cody E. Webig, 21, Brodhead, who pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct.

Court records indicate he called a woman names, broke a picture and pulled a telephone cord out of the wall Jan. 15 in Brodhead.

He is charged with disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to three months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines, if convicted.
