Green County Felonies
• The court Wednesday scheduled an April 20 district attorney conference and entered a plea of not guilty for Matthew C. Kernen, 23, Monroe, who stood mute to drug charges.
Court records allege he had more than seven grams of cocaine, about 12 grams of marijuana and two digital scales in his possession, June 30, in a Monroe residence.
He is charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, a class E felony, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, a class I felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor. He faces more than 18 years in prison and more than $60,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $10,000 signature bond.
• The court Wednesday scheduled a May 4 district attorney conference for Sandra Pempilton, 41, Freeport, Ill., who is charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
Court records allege she had 13 individually packaged bags of marijuana in her possession Dec. 6 in a business parking lot in Monroe township.
She is charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, a class I felony. She faces more than three years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, if convicted.
She remains free on a $4,000 signature bond.
Misdemeanors
• The court Wednesday sentenced Bryon W. Abell, 38, Monroe, to one year probation after he pleaded no contest to bail jumping.
He faced up to nine months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines for the class A misdemeanor.
Court records indicate that while on bond for third-offense drunken driving he entered a business that sold alcohol in violation of his bond July 8 in Monroe.
• The court Wednesday entered in a one-year deferred prosecution agreement with Michael F. Boeck, 39, Monroe, who pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct.
He faced up to three months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines for the class B misdemeanor.
The court will dismiss the charges in one year if he complies with the terms of the agreement.
Court records indicate he yelled and grabbed a woman and threatened to injure a man Sept. 6 at a Monroe residence.
