Felonies

• The court Tuesday sentenced Natalie B. Carlino, 32, Monroe, to four months in jail with work release privileges after she pleaded no contest to substantial battery and disorderly conduct.

She faced more than three years in prison and up to $11,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class I felony and class B misdemeanor.

The court dismissed one count of strangulation and suffocation, a class H felony, and one count of criminal damage to property and one count of obstructing an officer, both class A misdemeanors. She originally faced more than 10 years in prison and up to $41,000 in fines.

Court records indicate she hit a woman in the face with a fist, kicked her in the face and hit her in the face with an unknown object, which caused a fractured orbital bone and bruises.

• The court Tuesday sentenced Joshua S. Ritchie, 21, South Wayne, to three years probation after he pleaded guilty to possession of narcotic drugs.

He faced more than three years in prison and up to $10,000 as part of the plea agreement for the class I felony.

The court dismissed two counts of bail jumping, both class A misdemeanors, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor. He originally faced more than five years in prison and more than $30,000 in fines.

Court records indicate he had 34 oxycodone tablets in his possession Jan. 23 in Monroe.

In a second case, Ritchie was sentenced Tuesday to 60 days in jail and three years probation after he pleaded guilty to bail jumping.

He faced up to six years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class H felony.

The court dismissed one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor.

Court records indicate that while on bond in a previous case he had drug paraphernalia in his possession June 18 in Monroe.
