FELONIES
The court Thursday sentenced Malachi T. Neilsen, 27, Monroe, to 13 1/2 years in prison after he pleaded no contest to burglary.
Court records indicate he entered a home with the intent to steal Feb. 5 in Exeter township. He was previously convicted of burglary in Rock County in 2003.
He was charged with burglary, a class F felony, as a repeat offender. He faced more than 18 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines.
The court Thursday scheduled a Jan. 26 arraignment for Wayne J. Adams, 48, Browntown, who is charged with intimidation of a victim, physical abuse of a child and disorderly conduct.
Court records allege he hit a 16-year-old girl in the face and took her phone Dec. 22 at a Cadiz township residence.
He is charged with intimidation of a victim, a class G felony, physical abuse of a child, a class H felony, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces more than 16 years in prison and up to $26,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $2,500 signature bond.
MISDEMEANORS
The court Tuesday sentenced John D. Barrett, 22, Middleton, to one year probation after he pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct.
He faced up to three months in jail and up to $1,000 as part of the plea agreement for the class B misdemeanor.
The court dismissed two counts of bail jumping and one count of battery, all class A misdemeanors. He originally faced up to 30 months in jail and up to $31,000 in fines.
Court records indicate he grabbed a woman by the throat and pushed her, and also grabbed a man by the throat and swung at him Aug. 17 at a Monroe residence.

She faced up to nine months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class A misdemeanor.
The court dismissed two counts of theft, both class A misdemeanors. She originally faced up to 27 months in jail and up to $30,000 in fines.
Court records indicate she took about $275 June 5 from a Monticello business.

The court dismissed one count of disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. She originally faced up to one year in jail and up to $11,000 in fines.
