Felonies
Adam B. Been, 29, Frankfort, Ill., had a cash bond set at $5,000 on Tuesday with conditions that he remain in Green County while the case is pending. Been is charged with two Class H felony counts of battery to law enforcement officers and two misdemeanor counts of resisting an officer stemming from an incident that occurred on Friday. Police reports allege Been was driving well below the speed limit while northbound on Wisconsin 69 and eliciting multiple complaints from motorists. When officers stopped the vehicle in a bank parking lot in New Glarus, Been refused to exit his vehicle or roll down his window. Forced entry was made to the vehicle and Been allegedly began to fight with law enforcement. He allegedly assaulted a Green County deputy and attempted to assault a Belleville officer. Been has a preliminary hearing set for Feb. 12.
Misdemeanors
Douglas B. Scace, 44, Browntown, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on Tuesday of disorderly conduct and battery; he also had two additional counts of disorderly conduct dismissed. Scace is ordered to undergo anger management/domestic abuse counseling and pay a fine of $343. Court records indicate Scace attempted to pry away a phone the victim was using to call Scace's children's mother. Scace then picked up the victim and slammed her into a chair. The victim had bruises on her fingers following the assault.
