On Monday, Feb. 24:
Jason P. Schmidt, 22 , Platteville, was released on a $500 signature bond for charges of possession of a "one hitter" and a baggy of suspected marijuana on Jan. 12. According to online court records Schmidt was found in his car in a pasture off of Sandhill Road outside of Platteville where he was arrested for possession of drugs and paraphernalia. Schmidt has a scheduling conference set for March 19.
Edgar I. Ramirez, 19, Platteville, was released on a $500 signature bond for charges of possession of drugs and paraphernalia. Ramirez was initially charged for an incident stemming from Sept. 22 where according to court records, he was stopped for speeding and admitted to a deputy that he "smoked two days ago in the car." Ramirez has a scheduling conference on March 26.
Racheal M. Sillman, 22, Browntown, had a plea of not guilty entered on her behalf for charges of resisting an officer that stem from an incident on Jan. 24. According to online court records Sillman was arrested after deputies chased her into the woods by Elm Street Hill. Sillman has an arraignment hearing set for March 24.
William A. Foust, 23, Blanchardville, had all nine charges of issuing worthless checks dismissed on a prosecutor's motion. Foust was initially accused of issuing checks totaling more than $500 to the Blanchardville Co-op but was dismissed.
Felonies
Latasha L. Groom, 26, Platteville, had a signature bond set at $5,000 on Tuesday, Feb. 25 with additional conditions that she only have supervised contact with the children she allegedly abused, and that she must submit to a urine test. Groom was charged with two counts of Class I Felony child abuse and one count of class A Misdemeanor neglect of a child stemming from an incident that occurred Jan. 28. She has a preliminary hearing set for March 28.

Rodney K. Crooks, 43, Monticello, had a signature bond of $500 for charges of resisting an officer stemming from an incident that occurred Dec. 25. Crooks is accused of fleeing the scene of a crash and hiding in a barn near Nye Road, Exeter Township. Crooks has a pre-trial conference set for March 25.
Danielle K. Watterson, 20, New Glarus, had charges of possession of drugs and paraphernalia dismissed on a prosecutor's motion.
Justin T. Douglas, had a signature bond set at $1,000 on Tuesday, Feb. 25, with additional conditions that he have no contact with Behr Salvage and that he not leave the state of Wisconsin. Douglas was charged with two counts Class A Misdemeanor theft and damaging property stemming from an incident that occurred on Oct. 17. Douglas has a pre-trial conference on April 15.
James V. Vallo III, 36, Reedsburg, had a signature bond set at $750 with additional conditions that he have no contact with the residents in the 500 block of East 3rd Street, Albany, and that he not possess or consume any intoxicants. Vallo is accused of yelling and swearing at his girlfriend and pushing, kicking, head-butting and pinching her while she was holding their one-month-old son during an incident that occurred Nov. 24. Vallo has a pre-trial conference April 15.

Jesse A. Partridge, 21, Albany, had bond set at $2,000 on Tuesday, Feb. 25, with additional conditions that he have no contact with the two people he allegedly hit, and that he not possess or consume any intoxicants. Partridge was charged with one count of substantial battery, a Class I Felony, and one count of disorderly conduct, a Class B Misdemeanor, that stem from an incident that occurred Saturday, Feb. 22. Partridge has a preliminary hearing March 20.
