Felonies

On Monday:

• Alica E. Johnson, 22, Freeport, was released on a $2,000 signature bond on charges of driving a vehicle without consent, stemming from an incident that occurred on Dec. 26. Police reports indicate Johnson was stopped by the responding officer for speeding on Wisconsin 69, Monroe Township. The deputy checked the plates and learned the 2007 Lexus had allegedly been stolen a week earlier during a burglary in Winnebago County, Illinois. Johnson has a pretrial conference set for March 24.



Misdemeanors

• Dylan Charles McMahon, 22, Monroe, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on Tuesday of possession of marijuana; he also had a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia dismissed. McMahon owes a forfeiture fine of $583.75. Court records indicate law enforcement responded to a 911 hang-up call and upon entering the residence found McMahon had marijuana in his bedroom. Deputies found a total of 148 grams of pot contained in glass jars and plastic baggies.

On Monday:

• Scott H. West, 27, Juda, was released on a $1,000 signature bond with conditions that he have no violent or abusive contact with the alleged victims in this case. West is charged with two counts of disorderly conduct, stemming from an incident that occurred on Dec. 30. Court records indicate West allegedly yelled and swore at a man and then tackled him. West has a pretrial conference set for April 7.

• Michael J. Ace, 43, Monroe, was released on a $1,500 signature bond with conditions that he have no contact with the alleged victim. Ace is charged with disorderly conduct and battery, stemming from an incident that occurred on Dec. 20. Court records indicate a woman went to the Green County Sheriff's Department to report that Ace allegedly punched her and shoved her down a set of stairs the day before. The responding officer wrote in his report that the victim appeared to have bruising on her legs and a swollen lip. Ace denied hurting the woman. He has a pretrial conference set for April 7.

• Christopher M. Dean, 43, Fitchburg, was released on a $1,500 signature bond with conditions that he have no violent or abusive contact with the alleged victim. Dean is charged with disorderly conduct and battery stemming from an incident that occurred on Dec. 22. Court records indicate police responded to a residence following a 911 hang-up call and allegedly found a woman crying and her face was swollen. The victim alleged Dean elbowed her in the face. Dean has a pretrial conference set for April 7.

• Tony J. Popp, 50, New Glarus, had charges of disorderly conduct and battery dismissed on a prosecutor's motion because, according to online court records, Popp had left the jurisdiction to Waukesha County due to a warrant for child support. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Oct. 27. Popp owes no fines or penalties as the charges were dismissed.

• Jennifer R. Wright, 24, Winslow, Illinois, was released on a $1,000 signature bond with conditions that she not possess or consume any intoxicants. Wright is charged with hit-and-run stemming from an incident that occurred on Dec. 31. Police reports indicate Wright was eastbound on Melvin Road and allegedly hit a northbound pickup truck on Wisconsin 69. Wright's vehicle then continued down an embankment and hit a telephone pole. Wright then allegedly fled on foot and was later located by law enforcement and taken to Monroe Clinic Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Wright was also cited at that time for various traffic infractions as well as driving while intoxicated, first offense. She entered a not-guilty plea to driving while intoxicated. Wright has a pretrial conference set for April 7.

• Daniel B. Schwartz, 36, Albany, was released on a $1,000 signature bond for two counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, stemming from an incident that occurred on Jan. 3. If convicted for the maximum penalty, Schwartz could face up to 18 months in jail or $20,000 in fines or both. He has a pretrial conference set for March 24.
