The court Wednesday sentenced Noe Almazon Morales, 21, Chicago, to 18 months in prison, with 94 days credit, and 18 months extended supervision after he pleaded guilty to car theft.
He faced more than three years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class I felony.
The court dismissed two counts of resisting an officer, both class A misdemeanors, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor.
He originally faced more than five years in prison and up to $30,500 in fines.
Court records indicate he took a car without the owner's consent and drove it in Brodhead and in Green County Oct. 29.

He faced up to nine months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class A misdemeanor.
Court records indicate he took a computer from Brodhead High School between Feb. 1 and March 1, 2007.
