FELONIES

• Frank Dylan Jay Blum, 28, Orangeville, was charged in July with a Class H count of felony bail jumping after an incident on July 8, when an officer found Blum speeding on 30th Street in Monroe. Blum was found to smell strongly of intoxicants, in apparent violation of his bond from a 2016 battery case that prohibits consumption of alcohol. Blum's preliminary hearing will take place Oct. 3. His charge carries a maximum possible sentence of three years in prison.

• Dakota Christopher J. Lorenz, 24, Monroe, was charged in July with a Class I felony count of theft after he reportedly stole an ATV from a farm in the W5900 block of Town Center Road, Town of Clarno in June. The ATV was later found returned to the farm but had sustained significant damage. Lorenz signed a $2,000 signature bond in August with conditions he have no contact with the farm. His preliminary hearing will take place Oct. 3. His maximum possible sentence is 1.5 years in prison.

• A warrant was filed in July for the arrest of Andrew Lee Conley, 54, Janesville, for three Class H felony counts of misappropriating ID information and two misdemeanor counts of credit card fraud after an incident in May, when he used an acquaintance's credit card to obtain over $400 in cash and goods without the acquaintance's knowledge at several Monroe businesses. Conley faces a maximum possible sentence of nine years in prison.

• Bruce Alan Halverson, 54, Brooklyn, was charged in July with a Class G felony count of victim intimidation, a Class H felony count of false imprisonment and misdemeanor counts of obstructing an officer, battery and disorderly conduct. Halverson was charged after an incident in the W1900 block of Zweifel Road, Town of Brooklyn, when a woman called police regarding an altercation. When police arrived at the scene, they found the woman locked in a room in the residence claiming she had only made the call by accident. However, police surmised that Halverson had struck the woman and attempted to prevent her from calling the police, despite misdirection from Halverson. Halverson signed a $2,500 signature bond in July with conditions that he have no contact with the victim or consume intoxicants. His maximum possible sentence is eight years in prison.

• Zachary Lewis Spangler, 27, Oregon, was charged in July with a Class H felony count of second-offense driving while intoxicated, a Class I felony count of possession of narcotics, and misdemeanor counts of failing to stop for an officer, possession of cocaine and failing to install an ignition interlock device. Spangler was arrested after he struck a road sign in the W2300 block of Wis. 11, Town of Jefferson, and attempted to drive from the scene. Officers found Spangler in his vehicle in possession of packages of heroin and cocaine. Spangler signed a $10,000 signature bond with conditions that he consume no alcohol or controlled substance or drive on public roads. His preliminary hearing will take place Aug. 18. Spangler's maximum possible sentence is 4.5 years in prison.

• Mathew Thomas Daly, 27, Monroe, was charged July 27 with a Class H felony count of bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of third-offense driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license. Daly was charged after a hit-and-run collision was reported July 26 on 16th Avenue in Monroe. Daly was found shortly thereafter in his car, smelling of alcohol, and was arrested without incident. His preliminary hearing will take place Aug. 23. His maximum possible sentence is three years in prison.

• Devon Kincaid Jacobson, 24, New Glarus, was charged July 27 with a Class H felony count of misappropriating ID information and misdemeanor counts of theft after he used an acquaintance's credit card to obtain approximately $260 in cash and goods in New Glarus on July 21. Johnson's preliminary hearing will take place Sept. 20. His maximum possible sentence is three years in prison.

• Naomi Renea Balderas, 34, New Glarus, was charged July 31 with a Class H felony count of strangulation and a misdemeanor count of battery after an incident on July 28 in the 500 block of 14th Avenue in New Glarus. Police responded to a call from Balderas after she was locked out of her home. When police arrived, she accused her a woman of kicking her in the stomach. However, Balderas showed no signs of injury, while the woman appeared to have been placed in a chokehold. The woman said Balderas had attacked her during an altercation, after which she locked Balderas out. Balderas signed a $1,000 signature bond with conditions she have no contact with the woman. Her preliminary hearing will take place Aug. 14 and her maximum possible sentence is three years in prison.

• Joseph L. Olson, 32, Brodhead, was charged Aug. 3 with a Class F felony count of burglary, a Class H felony count of misappropriating ID information and misdemeanor counts of theft and credit card fraud. Olson was charged after an incident on July 3 when he stole two purses from the break room of Dollar General in Brodhead. He then proceeded to the business' bathroom, where he took cash and credit cards from the two purses before leaving the building. Using the cards, he obtained $465.67 worth of goods, primarily alcohol and cigarettes. Olson signed a $1,300 signature bond Friday with conditions that he have no contact with Dollar General or his victims. An additional $700 cash bond has not yet been paid. Olson's preliminary hearing will take place Aug. 21 and his maximum possible sentence is 10.5 years in prison.
