GREEN COUNTY FELONIES
- Kimberly S. Costa, 47, incarcerated, pleaded no contest Wednesday, Aug. 15, to revoking her probation on previous felony convictions of bail jumping and failure to pay child support. She was sentenced to one year in jail with Huber Law release privileges for work, school and treatment as long as she doesn't drink or use controlled substances. Court records indicate she failed to comply with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program by talking with schoolchildren in Monticello she is not related to, missing child support payments and not registering her address and whereabouts with her agent.
- Justin W. Young, 25, incarcerated, made an initial appearance in court Tuesday, Aug. 14, on a Class H felony charge of committing battery as a prisoner and a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. The charges stem from an incident June 13 at the Green County jail. Court records indicate he yelled and swore at another inmate, pushing him violently into the cellblock bars, throwing an elbow into his chest and grabbing and throwing a copy of the inmate's Quran. Young's signature bond was set at $1,600 and his cash bond at $400. He has a preliminary hearing Aug. 30.
