MISDEMEANORS

- Danny Elbert Shickles, 36, Brodhead, was granted a one-year deferred prosecution on Thursday, March 29, on a Class A misdemeanor charge of operating a firearm while intoxicated, stemming from a Dec. 26 incident outside his home in the N200 block of Hartman Road in the Town of Spring Grove. He also pleaded no contest to a Class A misdemeanor charge of resisting or obstructing an officer and was fined $631, which online court records indicate he has paid. A felony charge of possessing a firearm contrary to a court-ordered injunction was dismissed. A codefendant in the case, Monty O. Morris, 39, Rockton, Ill, has a plea and sentencing hearing scheduled for April 25.

- William C. Prinkey, 24, Apple River, Ill., pleaded no contest and was sentenced on Friday, March 30, to two years of probation on Class A misdemeanor charges of writing worthless checks to Napa Auto Parts of Monroe in April 2011. He is ordered to pay restitution and court fees, undergo financial counseling and further his education as deemed appropriate by his probation agent.

FELONIES

- A warrant was issued Thursday, March 29, for Clarence M. Campbell, 44, Paragould, Ariz., on six Class I felony counts of failing to pay child support for periods of more than four months between 2006 and 2012 for his 13-year-old daughter.

- A warrant was issued Thursday, March 29, for James Levell Triplett, Jr., 30, Beloit, on seven Class I felony counts of failing to pay child support for periods of more than four months between 2006 and 2011. Triplett appeared in court on Tuesday, April 3, and had his cash bond set at $9,643. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 11.
