GREEN COUNTY FELONIES
- Jerry A. Thompson, 48, Monroe, pleaded no contest Wednesday, April 11, to a Class I felony charge of failure to pay child support for a period of more than four months. He was granted a 24-month deferred prosecution, with conditions that he attend monitoring conferences and pay restitution.
- Robyn N. Flannery, aka Robyn N. Barta and previously known as Robyn N. Bearer, 28, Monroe, pleaded no contest Wednesday, April 18, to revoking her probation in March on 2010 felony convictions of writing bad checks to Monroe businesses. She was sentenced to six months in jail, with work-release privileges and a furlough from April 22 to May 15 to care for her mother after surgery. Flannery was also sentenced the same day to 18 months of probation on a Class C misdemeanor charge of smuggling 35 pills of Adderall into the county jail in her vagina.
MISDEMEANORS
- Steven A. Ostby, 28, Woodford, pleaded no contest and was fined $505 Thursday, April 12, on a charge of fleeing a Green County Sheriff's deputy during an attempted traffic stop in December in the Towns of Monroe and Jordan. He was initially charged with a felony count but it was downgraded to a misdemeanor. He was also convicted the same day of driving while intoxicated (first offense), stemming from the same incident in December, and fined $754.50 and ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment. His license is revoked for seven months.
- Robert Thomas Owen, 22, Monticello, pleaded no contest Thursday, April 12, and was granted a 12-month deferred prosecution on a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct stemming from an incident in October 2011. Court records indicate he was disorderly during a fish-fry party at a home in Monticello and picked a fight with a 45-year-old man.
