LENA - Christina Marie Hoffman, 86, of Lena, Illinois, passed away on January 29, 2008 at the Lena Living Center in Lena, Illinois. She was born on July 4, 1921 in Ashwood, Oregon, the daughter of Alvin Wallace and Matilda Rachael (Guenzler) Robinson. Christina married Paul H. Hoffman in North Liberty, Iowa, on February 18, 1941. Paul preceded Christina in death on June 5, 2000. Christina was employed by the Apple River School District as a cook for 20 years. She attended the Pleasant Valley Church of God near Stockton, Illinois, and most important to her was her love for her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are: three sons, Gary Lee (Grace) Hoffman of Monroe, Wisconsin, Terry Alvin (Evelyn) Hoffman of Maple Grove, Minnesota, and Lyle Allen (Dori) Hoffman of Platteville, Colorado; three daughters, Carol Ann (Jerry) Duncan of New Palestine, Indiana, Sharon Serena (Huey) Fontenot of Spring, Texas, and Mae Marie (John) Olson of Chaska, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter, Julie Lynn Hoffman; a brother, Jim Robinson; and a sister, Leona Binkley.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, Illinois. The Rev. Robert Phelps will officiate the service. Burial will be held on Saturday at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008 at Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, Illinois. A memorial has been established in her memory.
