BRODHEAD - Charlyne C. Hoesly, age 80, of Brodhead, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at Mercy Hospital, Janesville. She was born on February 22, 1931 in City Point, WI, the daughter of Chester and Marion (Staffon) Jepson. She married Walter E. "Bud" Burandt in September of 1950. He passed away in 1969. Charlyne then married Ken Hoesly on August 5, 1972.
Charlyne was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brodhead, and an active member of many of the church groups. She was a devoted farm wife and worked as a nurse's aid at St. Clare Hospital, Monroe. Charlyne enjoyed reading, baking, cooking, but most importantly, being with family.
She is survived by her husband, Ken, Brodhead; three daughters, Denise (Bob LaBarre) Pinnow, Monticello, WI, Diane (Rick) Gretebeck, Kim (Jerry) Schupbach, both of Brodhead; two sons, Jeff (Peggy) Burandt, Janesville, Mark (Patti) Burandt, Monroe; a brother, Richard (Margaret) Jepson, Orange City, FL; two sisters, Marlene Skau, Minneapolis, MN, Dolly (Ron) Gieseke, Rockford, IL; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband.
A gathering of friends will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
